The Bombadcast

The Bombadcast was born out of the collaboration of Scotty Jayro & Gerry Cable who had their fateful meeting at Star Wars Celebration Chicago in 2019. This friendship formed while experiencing The Rise of Skywalker Trailer together on the showroom floor, which actually became one of the most viral Star Wars Reaction Videos OF ALL TIME, featuring Scotty in the center of the video holding onto & jumping off of Gerry’s shoulders. After months of discussion & collaboration we decided to launch our show in an audio only format (in June of 2019) that proved to be quite successful and allowed our show rise in the podcasting community, getting guests that spanned all parts of the fandom and walks of life. We found our niche when we realized our love for the prequels was obviously what brought us together and how we grew up with a “different version” of Star Wars that the world never knew it needed. We pride ourselves on the weird parts of Star Wars, analyzing the smallest of details with the biggest of hearts in respect to this fandom that brought us together.

Our show continued to find success after a decision to change our approach from audio to video livestream format, which yielded a much more interactive experience! Since then we have gained over five thousand subscribers on Youtube with an average live audience of 30 people each stream. We’ve had the privilege to talk to several big names in the Star Wars fandom and musicians that influenced pop culture, such as Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons and Mac DeMarco.

In June of 2021, The Bombadcast launched two new livestream shows that best build on the different interests of each host. Hyperfocus is a live show that is run by Gerry Cable in which a guest will come on and share what they have been currently interested in and they have a discussion on any topic throughout the stream. This show becomes progressively more interactive when guests are allowed to “call in” to give their thoughts on any subject that the guest chooses. Bombad Gaming is our video game streaming show that focuses on the best aspects of gaming, such as game design, cultural impact and having a fun time while playing it! Bombad Gaming generally focuses on mostly retro games and their inherent charm, while providing an engaging experience as if you are in the room with Scotty!

Lastly we have created a mantra & tag line that embodies our entire message as content creators, all while honoring our favorite character and mascot Jar Jar Binks. “Stay Bombad” is a phrase as relatable as “May The Force Be With You” and it is how we end every broadcast of our show. What does it mean to “Stay Bombad” well that is entirely up for you to decide once you experience all that makes up The Bombadcast!
