One of the positive things that the COVID-19 pandemic has done is create a level playing field for different people. In today’s episode, I’m joined by Raquel Hellenga, a life and business coach, as we discuss how the pandemic has increased economic participation for those chronically ill, people living with disabilities, and disabled entrepreneurs or entrepreneurs with disabilities by leveling the playing field.
The pandemic has brought a lot of uncertainty into everyone's lives. It's forced everyone to learn and become experts FAST when it comes to living with and dealing with all the uncertainty, and not get paralyzed just because we're overwhelmed. This has created some form of level playing field as these very conditions are what entrepreneurs with disabilities or people living with disabilities, in general, have always dealt with, even prior to the pandemic.
Like disabled entrepreneurs or those who are chronically ill, we now live with the uncertainty of being okay one moment and not okay in the next, leveling the playing field for each of us. This covers not only our health but also things like our career, business, and even social life.
