#147: Why I'm choosing to work at the level of my earnings instead of to the level I want to earn

After an endless holiday break, we've finally got school back in session and I'm feeling recharged. Over the last few months I've take big stock of what's important to me and what's motivating me and realized that after buying our new home, my desire to earn has diminished. I don't have big income goals right now. Instead I find myself craving adventure, which is probably why I chose the membership business model and why I'm not going to work to the level to which I hope to earn, but at the level I'm earning.

That's a major shift in how I've been working and I've recognized it's necessary for my mental health. No more excuses. I'm listening to myself no matter how many "should's" keep coming up.

So I'm going to add more play, and more adventure on this journey without it being tied to how much I'm making. It's time to cut that cord and live more freely.

In addition to reducing hustle, I'm also lowering my standards and expectations. Now that I've got commitment to my model I can trust in what I know and can teach, my experience and my strengths and go forward with more confidence & less distraction.
