BEYOND CHARLIE (Pune, INDIA) Ashok Pai AKA Beyond Charlie started experimenting with production tools Like FL Studio, Technomatrix and Ableton at a very early age. Soon after his Law college days in 2006, he was introduced to Djing and the other elements of production. Beyond Charlie is known for his unique blend of Indian Classical, Carnatic and Indi Folk music with electronica. Beyond Charlie discovered his love for House music early on, when the innovative Techno and Electronic sounds infiltrated back in 2006. This introduction to House music changed his life and he has embraced electronic soul music wholeheartedly ever since. The year was 2010 when Beyond Charlie moved to Hamburg, Germany and was introduced to Techno. He absolutely fell in love with the genre and techno has continued to influence his style until now. Being a buff of Indian classical instruments like sitar, sarod, flute and Carnatic Vocals, Beyond Charlie was supremely influenced while he got a chance to tour with Jalebee Cartel and The Midival Punditz Feat Karsh Kale for the Bacardi Megamix. Beyond Charlie released his first single ‘Arundhati’ on Tech Tantra Records and it was supported by many artists worldwide. Beyond Charlie has performed at India's most prestigious, trendy night-clubs and Lounge bars. Beyond Charlie has headlined events in Kathmandu, Macau, Bangalore, Delhi, Pune, Goa, Mumbai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Manipal and More. He has shared the stage with some of the best artists in the industry like John 00 Fleming, Minitech Project, The Yellow Heads, Ana Lilia, Baba Robijn, Bregger, Ramiro Lopez, Alberto Ruiz, Enamour, Candice Redding, Hilight Tribe to name few. Beyond Charlie has performed in all types of venues, festivals and parties, to slamming crowds. With his smooth dynamic deep techno mix, he also appeared on Big 92.7 and Radio Indigo 91.9 FM's BB show in the same year. Beyond Charlie is renowned for bringing together talented artists, musicians from all over the country for special events with that deep funky appeal. Beyond Charlie continues to push the envelope for the positive promotion of Techno music worldwide
