The True and Better Sacrifice

Under the Old Covenant, sacrifices were offered on behalf of the people year after year so that they could enjoy fellowship with God, and yet, as we learn in Hebrews 10:1–25, these sacrifices — the blood of bulls and goats — were not adequate to take away sin. This week, pastoral assistant Isaac Thomas points us to Christ to show that he is “The True and Better Sacrifice” and reminds us that through Christ’s sacrifice we can draw near to God with hearts sprinkled clean because God has promised that he will remember our sins no more.
