Mental health is more than the absence of mental illness or disorders. So what's the difference between mental health and mental illness? The Two Continua Model of Mental Health and Illness illustrates that it is possible for people to have positive mental health while having a mental illness, just as it is possible to have poor mental health without having a mental illness.
