Mary McKenna trained as a historian and lawyer, but gave it up to be a Navy wife. Now she writes around raising children and moving from coast to coast.
Mary has been telling stories since she could talk. She writes because she can't not write. An early love of fairy tales brought her to fantasy, where she writes most of her own stories. Lady of Ravensmere is book 1 in the series, released in November 2020, and she is writing book 2, Lady of the North.
In addition to writing she plays the harp and studies Irish, loves college football and bleeds pinstripe during baseball season.
In this interview Mary shares that the research has been so important and that being a trained historian has helped with the focus of getting the details correct.
