Mcdermot the producer of the, my natural wellness podcast. And once again, I have the privilege to introduce Dr. Michelle. Trias Dr. Michelle, how you doing?

I'm doing great. I'm so glad to be back and recording our second podcast together. This is exciting,

It's exciting for so many reasons, one exciting for you because it's, I know you love teaching and educating and just helping people, whether they're based of yours or, or not. And, and that's the beauty of the podcast. I mean, not only is it getting listened to in Southwest Florida, as we already know, we were talking for your listeners off mic about, you know, all the great comments that you're getting about previous episode.

Yeah. Yeah, it was great. I was so happy to see all the positive feedback. You know, you put things out there and you hope, you know, you send a positive message out. And I, and I was really grateful to see all of the positive comments and feedback from the first podcast. So I'm super excited about what we're gonna be talking about today We're getting into some juicy content now.

So let's get into it. Cause our listeners, like what is, what, so we're gonna talk about the principles of holistic nutrition today, correct? Yes.

So we're gonna be talking about the three principles of holistic nutrition. Wow. So we'll, we'll the three principles are eliminating sources of toxicity adding in foods that are healing and nurturing. And the, the third is that you must cleanse before you rebuild.

Love it. I love it. Toxicity. I, again, what I love about what you're sharing is information that we all not only can use just flat out need, especially in this day and age of, you know, the big C, whether that's COVID cancer or, or God know how many, the other, you know, enemies that are out there, you know so fill us in, you know, how do we eliminate the source of toxic toxicity?

Yes. And this is step one on purpose. So in order for us to heal, we have to stop the barrage of what is coming in. That's toxic in our body. So toxicity can be in the water we drink, in the air we breathe. It can be on and, and, but more specifically, or especially it is constantly in the foods that we take in. And so eliminating sources of toxicity means targeting foods that cause inflammation in the body and foods that cause inflammation in the body foods that are not really foods by the definition of what food is. And the definition of food is it must be nutritious. That's step one, and it must promote life and growth. That's step two. So there are a lot of things out there that are nutritious, right? They have some form of nutrition, but they don't meet the second qualification to be food, which is to promote life and growth.

And so when you're looking at what you're going to be eating, and you're saying, is this a form of toxicity? Is this food that is really food, then you should be looking at, you know, does it, it, does it meet those two qualifications? And so is it something that will immediately help you? Is, is it alive? Is it growing towards the sun? Is it organic? Has it not been sprayed with pesticides? These are things, these are things that are not going be toxic for you. So if it's, if it is in that, then you want to limit that toxicity from the body so that you're not getting glyphosates that have been sprayed on your food. That's, a form toxicity as, as well as, so looking at foods and eliminating those sources of toxicity. And I, I get really deep into that.
