We can become bombarded with pressure to be great in all things-our career, being a black woman and working extra hard to be seen; taking care of our kids in addition to taking care of elderly parents; aging; desire to start a business. If you are experiencing menopausal symptoms, these added pressures can worsen your symptoms or even ignite them. Extra stressors increases our stress hormone cortisol which has a negative impact on how we experience menopausal symptoms.
