For many of us, this has been a really tough year. No doubt, some beautiful and wondrous things have happened in your life. And, you’ve likely had your fair share of struggles and setbacks too.

We’ve survived some pretty significant national and world events. Like a pandemic. And an election. We’ve seen some major changes closer to home as well. Like loss and financial insecurity. Virtual schooling. All. The. Things.

But after feeling our true feelings, we will get to choose to sit the feelings to the side for the next thought download and work session and/or create a new thought on the other side of feeling the emotion.

Today, I want to talk you through our emotional experiences, how we think and process through the holiday season all using the TEAR process.

Learning to feel your emotions is one of the most important skills you will ever learn. Once you are good at it, it can completely change your relationship with yourself and all the people you come in contact with because you won’t be reactive, but rather the compassionate observer.

Can you imagine what the world would be like if we were all processing our emotions instead of distracting or overreacting to them?

I think everyone needs to learn this process. Young and old. It’s never too early or too late.
