Missouri will celebrate its bicentennial in 2021. We spoke with Bill Eddleman, the Associate Director of the Cape Girardeau Research Center with The State Historical Society of Missouri. Eddleman is an eighth-generation Missourian and was a professor of biology at Southeast Missouri State University for 22 years and also served as provost before his retirement in 2016. He told us about some the activities planned in celebration of the event. Eddleman is also the host of Missouri Bicentennial Minutes which can be heard the Fourth Friday of each month in 2020 on KRCU. In 2021, the show will be broadcast weekly.
