Quick note: If you haven’t listened yet to episode 60 with Sheila Katz, the CEO of the National Council of Jewish Women, about religious freedom, reproductive rights and abortion access, and anti-Semitism, go back and check it out.Building off of our last episode about anti-Semitism, we take on the topic of Christian hegemony and how pervasive it is in our culture, from workplaces to schools to the ways we celebrate milestones. We also talk specifically about the ways anti-Judaism has shaped the interpretation of Christian sacred texts that reinforce anti-Semitism. We wrap up the episode with some practical ideas for how to dismantle Christian supremacy in our thinking and practices as well as how to learn more about religious traditions that are different from our own.
