Currently, District of Columbia Attorney General Karl Racine finds himself engaged in groundbreaking litigation against President Donald Trump in which Attorney General Racine and his team recently won a historic decision from the United States Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit. Groundbreaking work isn’t new to Karl Racine. In 2006, he became the first Black managing partner of an AmLaw 100 firm when he took over the helm at Venable. Karl dives into the personal and professional challenges he faced during his time at Venable and his decision to leave in pursuit of becoming the District of Columbia’s first elected Attorney General.
