Milano, 1940. Venticinquenne e neolaureata in architettura a Roma, Lina Bo Bardi incontra il celebre architetto Gio Ponti e inizia a collaborare alle importanti sue esperienze editoriali di quegli anni: “Domus”, “Lo Stile”, contributi redazionali, illustrazioni, progetti in cui estetica e valori di riferimento si integrano perfettamente. Un’esperienza che segna un passaggio decisivo per entrambi. Dal dopoguerra, Lina Bo Bardi con la sua Casa de Vidro e il MASP sarà tra i più importanti progettisti del Brasile, attraverso un’architettura fondata sull'impegno civile. Gio Ponti contribuirà al rinnovamento del modo di pensare - e vivere - la casa, ma anche alla trasformazione in chiave moderna dell'immagine urbana, grazie a progetti iconici come il Grattacielo Pirelli.
