Nel 1941, a Milano, una Franca Helg ventunenne ammira l'allestimento di Franco Albini alla Pinacoteca di Brera. La loro collaborazione inizierà solo 10 anni più tardi e cambierà il volto dell’architettura italiana. Accomunati da una visione artistica rigorosa e moderna, ma anche dal ruolo sociale che attribuiscono alla loro professione, i due lavorano fianco a fianco su progetti capolavoro dell’architettura e del design che portano sempre entrambe le firme, come gli allestimenti museali che hanno ridisegnato il modo di concepire gli spazi e presentare le opere, le Stazioni della Metropolitana di Milano e la Rinascente di Roma.
