Ohio State University experts Melissa Beard Jacob, Ph.D., and Associate Professor Daniel Rivers discuss Indigenous Peoples' Day and the history of Indigenous People. Dr. Jacob is the Intercultural Specialist for Native American and indigenous Students and Dr. Rivers is a faculty member in the Department of History. This webinar was held by the College of Arts & Sciences and the Department of History's Harvey Goldberg Center for Excellence in Teaching on October 12th, 2020. We acknowledge the Shawnee, Miami, Lenape, Delaware, and Wyandotte peoples as the traditional land caretakers of central Ohio and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work for Indigenous peoples in this place. As a land grant university, we honor and respect Indigenous peoples connected to the site of our institution.
