This is part one of a two part podcast on WHY Believers need to be sin-cleansed...and HOW Believers get or stay sin-cleansed. Sadly, there is much confusion in the Church about what happens to a Believer's sins when they get born again. Some say...when I got born again ALL my sins (in God's eyes) were as far as the East is from the West. (That's their way way of saying that every sin that a Believer commits AS A CHILD OF GOD is NO LONGER seen by the Lord. To which I say...I know that Ananias and Sapphira didn't believe that!) Others will say...since every sin that a NEW born-again child of God has, is or will commit (i.e. past, present and future) IS eternally forgiven when a person gets born-again...the Good Lord will never judge His children for sinning! (To which I say...I know that the carnal Corinthian Believers who were wallowing in the unrepentant sins of drunkenness and gluttony didn't believe that!)
1 Corinthians 11:20-21, 27-30 --- Therefore when some of you (Believers) meet together, it is not to eat the Lord’s Supper, for in your eating each one takes his own supper first; and one is hungry and another is drunk! Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner, shall be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. But a man must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup. For he who eats and drinks, eats and drinks judgment to himself if he does not judge the body rightly. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.
Brethren, If our Heavenly Father forgives ALL the SINS of His children (past, present and future) when they get born again (which He doesn't do)...then Ananias, Sapphira and those unrepentant Believers in the Corinthian Church would NOT HAVE been punished for sinning!
