Warhorse Casino will consist of 980,000 square feet of commercial space. Another 300,000 square feet will be used for residential development projects. The total price tag of the casino and hotel is set at $200 million. Nebraska first approved land-based casino gambling a few months ago. This is the first project taking shape.

Procedural issues tied to an Initial Public Offering have delay Coinbase’s plans to go public. Originally planned for March, it appears it will take place sometime in April. The company gave no clear explanation for the change. Speculation points to potential issues from recent allegations of illegal trading practices. Coinbase is a digital asset exchange. It deals with an assortment of cryptocurrencies highlighted by Bitcoin. The IPO would offer up to 115 million shares of stock. This is the amount that has already been registered by Coinbase. In December of last year, the company sent an IPO draft registration to the SEC.

Jeffrey Soffer already owns the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach. If he had it his way, that would be the location for a Miami Beach casino. He faces some stiff opposition moving forward. That group includes the city’s major and board of commissioners. You can add two other prominent real estate developers to that list, Norman Braman and Armando Codina. The biggest opposition would come from the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The tribe is Florida’s only casino operator with six locations. Soffer may have the support of Gov. Ron DeSantis and other key Florida lawmakers. A proposed bill changing the gaming laws is in the works.
