I met Vanessa Collier at the 2021 Havre de Grace Jazz and Blues Festival this past June. She gave an amazing performance, mesmerized the crowd and had everyone on their feet!
She was gracious enough to give us an interview- we discussed her growing up in Howard County, Maryland, how she got bitten by the music bug, her time at Berklee, people who influenced and inspired her, her new album, some "Spinal Tap" moments at shows, and coming out of COVID.
She is a 7 time Blues Music Award Nominee and has won "Horn Player of the Year" in both 2019 and 2020.
