On November 30- December 1, 1990, the Federalist Society hosted its annual National Lawyers Convention at the Hotel InterContinental in New Orleans, Louisiana, titled "Legal Systems in Transition: New Directions for Eastern Europe." The conference's fourth panel explored "The Judiciary and the Role of the Rule of Law."
