On today’s episode, we’re discussing Liver Cancer Awareness Month, a global initiative working to raise understanding of this devastating disease and educate us about the signs and symptoms.
In 2020, more than 900,000 people were diagnosed with liver cancer globally, and more than 830,000 people died from the disease in the same year.
We’re joined by Marko Korenjak, President of the European Liver Patients Association (ELPA) to talk about the month and the different initiatives that they have undertaken to educate all Europeans about the third most common cause of cancer death globally.
