Delta Voices: Artists of the Mid-South

Delta Voices: Artists of the Mid-South highlights emerging and mid-career artists working in the Mid-South. Presented by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts, Delta Voices is a podcast and video limited series produced in partnership with museums throughout the Delta region.

Each episode, we ask museum curators in our region about the artists in their communities that they’re most interested in and excited about, and capture them in conversation about art, place, identity and community.

The artists selected include:

Justin Tyler Bryant - a painter and social practice artist from Little Rock, Arkansas. Selected by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts.

Alexis McGrigg - a painter and interdisciplinary artist from Jackson, Mississippi. Selected by the Mississippi Museum of Art.

Catherine Patton - a photographer from Memphis, Tennessee. Selected by the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art.

Aaron Turner - a photographer from Springdale, Arkansas. Selected by Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art

Delta Voices will allow for deeper engagement with the art, craft, and inspiration of the featured artists through short videos, conversation between artists and curators, and more. The program, which will launch this summer, will be available free of charge on AMFA’s website.
