Ariana finds herself in the Demiplane of Ash alongside Raff. The two aren’t alone, however. The arch-lich (and Ariana's pen pal) Vecna appeared and asked to see Kos in exchange for Raff's safe return. Before Ariana woke, the lich imbued a boon within her eye. With Taabi and Lenore handling the battlefield clean up, the others went to bring Raff's body to a safer place. Kos, when confronted by Ariana, unveiled her past as Kas the Betrayer, catching Brillia understandably off guard.

Meanwhile, back in the ballroom, Lenore did her duties for the Raven Queen until everyone gathered together again in the library. Deciding on the next move was no easy task, however, as conflict brewed within the party. Once more, the team split, mainly to cool off after a handful of hard conversations. A spat between Verity and Lenore pushed the two away from the rest as Taabi went with Sapphire and Kos to quell the remaining slaves' fears and doubts. Ariana solved the second part of the slavery issue, "convincing" Atlas to free the slaves using her magical enchanted eye. However, the episode concludes on a somber note, with Arsen telling Verity that he's staying in the castle to help Atlas with Caraquette.

We are a Dungeons and Dragons 5e actual play focussed on roleplay over combat. Dragging themselves out of the chaos from their royal assassination, Verity, Elly and Ariana are in mourning. Reclaiming her title, Princess Verity faces her need to repent for past murders. Ariana struggles with what it means to be two souls in one body. Elly finds herself turned to ice, as she delves with powers beyond her.

They are joined by new allies, Lenore, Taabi and Brilia. Lenore, a follower of the Raven Queen, finds herself drawn to helping these lost young women (and freeing herself). Taabi, a nomadic Tabaxi, who will do anything to survive, and seeks the secrets of the dead. Brilia, a former housewife turned adventurer who learned her warlock abilities to protect her partner, Kos.
