In this episode, Corpse Tub discusses the weirdness of the movie American Gothic.
Six friends go on a trip, but after their plane has engine trouble, they end up on an island inhabited by a deranged family stuck in the 1920s who are not okay. Released in 1987, it stars Hollywood legends Rod Steiger and Yvonne De Carlo, and even William Hootkins, the infamous Porkins from Star Wars!
We are well aware of how illogical this movie is. Where does their food come from? Are those "kids" theirs? How did they mummify that baby? Where does Ma get her fabric? This movie left us with those question and many others, yet we still can't help relishing in its ridiculousness. Join us as we try not to think too hard, and revel in the joy of the wacko finale.
