Men have a high and weighty calling as Fathers that includes the roles of Disciple, Accountant, and Disciplinarian. These are roles we cannot fulfill on our own. We have to rely on Jesus to guide us and the Holy Spirit to strengthen us. We should start every day on our knees asking for wisdom and for courage for this role. I tell my kids that courage is doing the right thing even when it’s hard. Dad, we have to have courage to fulfill these three roles. It is not easy, but it’s definitely worth it.
