#064 – Perspective from Rishi, an educational travel guide from Nepal. Tourism is a broad and complex topic with many layers. Rishi has an exceptional and very interesting perspective on this topic. Growing up in an Ashram in Nepal, he got to know international tourists from a very young age. Today he follows the quest to educate travelers and help them to have a more immersive and sustainable experience. We talk about authentic travel and why he hates the word in itself. He talks about the benefits of learning and if or how travel can broaden your mind. What kind of privileges and liked to travel and why is it important to acknowledge them? He also gives and overview on the current situation in Nepal concerning tourism and what he thinks of volunteering and aid in general. I personally learned a lot in this conversation and I’m sure it will broaden your mind and worldview as well. Enjoy our practical and also philosophical talk around travel and how it can contribute to a better future and understanding of each other.
