Everyone is waking up to how important sustainability is in business, and we can do our part! Being an openly sustainable business and sharing ethical work practices is going to be important to consumers in 2023, so you want to start thinking about how you can adapt. Recent studies are showing that consumers are willing to pay more for sustainable products and support sustainable businesses. This is a newer concept to me as an online business owner myself! When I think about sustainability I think shipping, packaging, reducing packaging, adding products that encourage sustainability, etc… but I found some really great articles about how you can be more sustainable even if you don’t have a product based business! Here’s a stat I found that really stood out to me that I wanted to share before we dive into this deeper-" Environmentally and socially-responsible businesses are on the rise. Consumers are increasingly conscious of where and what they buy, whether online or in a store – so much so, that a recent survey found 88 percent of shoppers want brands to help them live more sustainably."
