Such a lovely conversation with Cassie. Being someone who deals with women with midlife bulimia she was pleased to be on the show to be able to share her story and to say "you're not alone".
Cassie, herself, struggled with emotional eating, as was her family. Even though her education, she realized she was more able to help others than herself! This I could relate to because my daughter said the same about her education through psychology.
Cassie said there are four specific areas that matter when it comes to self-care and can free you from emotional eating.
Cassie does share those four pillars of self-care, starting with hormones. She speaks to our "toxic" vocabulary, and she does stress (pun intended) that stress is a part of hormone imbalance as is lack of sleep, and so many more points covered.

As a Masters-trained Registered Dietitian Nutritionist who has helped hundreds of clients reach their health goals, I’ve got more than a soapbox to stand on.

Previously, I spent my time translating personal genetic and blood data, along with the latest scientific evidence to make my clients healthier. Combined with experience teaching college students and coaching patients with pre-diabetes, I specialize in sustainable behavior change. Everyone knows they should eat more vegetables and move more, yet few people can make those changes stick.
