In Episode 285 I’ve gone rogue...... Incensed by the indignant bleating of a few anglers who feel that taking large breeding fish for the table is OK, I’ve unloaded my views about why it’s not ok to kill the biggest fish. And it really doesn’t matter what species or whether you are legally ‘entitled to’.

In a nutshell, those big, trophy fish are super important to both recruitment and the gene pool if we want to continue to have big fish into the future. And the justifications being used for taking them are ridiculous.
