The Power of Praise

Be the one who takes your team from good to great by harnessing the power of praise to help recognize and amplify the skill sets of coworkers and clients.
- Praise is not flattery. Be authentic and mention specific things that someone did well and how those things impacted the outcome.
- When you call attention to an accomplishment, you raise awareness of the skills involved in that person's mind, which helps them focus more on developing those skills. This happens through a brain mechanism called the Reticular Activator which focuses attention.
- Praise raises the energy and joy of team, which then pumps up creativity and adds ease to the work being done to the point that it doesn't feel like work anymore.
- Take the praise challenge. Pick three people to praise over the next two days and share the impact it had on instagram. Tag me @architectingpodcast and I'll share with the rest of our community.
