- Get clarity on your why. When you talk about your skills through the lens of what you are passionate about, you differentiate yourself and add value.
- Show the receipts. Either share results from projects, or create mini exercises that pertain to your projects that let you apply your skills around issues you are passionate about and show what you learned.
- Understand the pain points of the industry, your clients and the company you want to work with. Do your homework to target your search and show how you fit and what could be possible through working together..
- Drive commitment by sharing your expectations as well as who else you are talking with.
