Em um buraco escavado nos fundos de um cemitério público, municipal, na periferia de São Paulo, foram enterrados os restos mortais de mais de mil pessoas. Eram desaparecidos políticos, militantes que faziam oposição à ditadura militar e que foram torturados até a morte na década de 70. Também foram jogados lá moradores de subúrbios, pessoas pretas, pobres e periféricas executadas pela polícia e por grupos de extermínio. Essa vala clandestina com mais de mil corpos ocultados permaneceu 14 anos em segredo, até que uma reportagem trouxe a história à tona.
