This podcast features artists of all creative walks of life (musicians, architects, authors, filmmakers, etc.)–anyone that inspires me and anyone that could inspire you. These short interviews are aimed to dive into the process of the creation instead of the outcome and result. The goal is to learn from these young creative geniuses with no barriers to any art form.

The Process is an interview series exploring the process of survival as a creative. Though season four focuses on the music industry, we typically converse with creatives from a variety of backgrounds about money, mental health, relationships, the creative process itself, and how they make it all work.

"What drew me to the time period of the 70s was the real story of these magazines Playgirl, Viva, Foxy Lady, all the magazines that existed in this period. So it was a natural outgrowth of trying to tell a story that was inspired by, to some extent, real-life events. When I started developing Minx, what struck me about the 70s, in particular, is ju…

HT1172 - Pushing Which Limits Artmaking is largely a matter of pushing the limits. But, which limits? The limits of gear? The limits of processing? The limits of our endurance? What about pushing the limits of our abilities to feel and to communicate?โดย Brooks Jensen

“I think art can engage with the body, the mind, and the imagination in so many different ways that can compliment modes of thinking, other modes of creating, thinking through, working through and devising. I was thinking about this in relation to the last 18 months and how the sciences have rightly been heralded as the great way of getting ourselv…

LW1298 - Gear as a Distraction I've recently spent about 30 hours of my life reviewing a potential gear change. It's not uncommon for us to need to do this for the simple fact that our creative life is intertwined with gear. “I really hope that kindness is preserved. I really think manners and being polite can go a long way. People are in such a rush these days. “The struggle for a planetary future calls for a profound epistemological shift. Indigenous ancestral knowledges are now providing a foundation for our work against climate change, one based on what I refer to as Indigenous economies of abundance—as opposed to capitalist economies of scarcity. Rather than seeing climate change as apocalyptic, we ca…

HT1171 - Brand Familiarity I'm often asked why I shoot with Panasonic cameras when they are such a tiny percentage of the camera marketplace. It's not "brand loyalty" but rather brand familiarity.
