In this episode of the Secret MENS Business podcast we talk to Luke Fenwick about the power of leaving a legacy.
An emotional legacy is something that is conceptualised and role modeled during a lifetime. As one starts to age, this legacy can hold greater meaning when time seems to race by. It has to do with who we are as people, what we have to offer, what things we hold dear, and what we want others know about us.
Luke decided it was time to change the story which was supposed to be “the rest of my life”. He stepped away from his corporate role to reevaluate what was important and create beliefs and habits that would carry him forward in life and to his legacy. Stepping away allowed him the opportunity to work towards his vision of being the best father, husband and person he could be. It allowed him time to rewire the actions he took each and every day.
Although a period of challenge, he gained clarity that he needed to have purpose in his work and life, instead of focusing on a pay check or lifestyle. He realised that he had to alter his actions to do what he so desperately wanted to do, those actions move him towards his mission, which is to help as many people do the things they want to do in order to live their best life and create a legacy of fulfilment.
