Trish Glose interviews Restless Network founder, Olivia DeRamus. Olivia, originally from Washington, D.C. was looking for a world of new experiences and decided to head west for college. She says she was loving life at her California university, but everything changed when, at the age of 19, she was sexually assaulted. Despite winning her two university tribunals, her attacker decided to sue her for defamation. Olivia spent the years she should have been enjoying college life and friends, buried in legal fees and court dates. She created Restless, an online magazine as a way to bring women together, provide a resource for those women who needed help, guidance, a sense of empowerment, or just a place to escape and realize they weren't alone. Restless just recently launched an app, giving more access to more women, in an effort to "amplify women's voices and empower through information and connection."
