NASCAR heads to Texas this weekend for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 500. The first Monster Energy Cup series race at the track since an off-season repaving, much to the chagrin of many drivers:

(Gossage) “Race car drivers like old asphalt. It loses some of the grip and things like that as time goes on.”

Brad Keselowski will have crew chief Paul Wolfe on hand. NASCAR announcing Wednesday, April 12 is when they’ll hear the appeal of his three-race suspension for the No. 2’s failed post-race inspection at Phoenix last month.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. announcing primary sponsor Axalta will dress out his car with a Philadelphia Eagles inspired paint job for June’s race at Pocono

(Earnhardt Jr.) “I’m really sad about that, being a Redskins fan.”

The scheme will help draw attention to the all-pro teachers charity, a joint initiative between the Eagles and Axalta.
