From reproducing the personal letters of Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud’s private correspondences during their whirlwind friendship to replicating the leitmotifs from Wagner’s Ring Cycle in the score, this film does its homework, but it also expects that its audience has as well—A brash choice which may not have been the best one...
