With a decrease in new cancer diagnoses of 37% since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, an estimated 22 million postponed cancer screenings tests, and 80,000 delayed or missed diagnoses, comprehensive cancer centers and integrated delivery networks across the United States are anticipating a major “shadow curve” in new cancer cases in the months and year to come.
